I had an ancient alarm system that was installed almost 22 years ago when my house was built and I wanted to update it and be able to use it in my home automation system (Home Assistant) I designed this 42 zone board as a replacement. I use all of the currently installed door / window sensors, motion detectors, glass break sensors, sirens, strobe lights, etc... and this new board just replaces the old panel. I replaced the keypads with wall mounted Android tablets that have a Home Assistant dashboard on them and one of the selections on the dashboard is for the Alarm keypad that you can use in Home Assistant.
@Ira Schonfeld - I use Home Assistant for all of my home automation. Inside of Home Assistant there is an integration with ESPHome which controls ESP32 based devices via .yaml code. In a nutshell, ESPHome installs the ESPHome firmware on to your ESP32 devices and then there is a .yaml file for each device...
