I’m excited to share a solution for the design flaw we encountered! I have decided to adopt a design similar to a Mortise-and-Tenon Joint. In this updated design, the lid will securely attach to the bucket and lock in place with the sift inside. When the hand crank is turned, the sift will spin along with the crank.
I’ve attached screenshots of the updated designs below. Currently, I’m working on ensuring that the main bucket lid remains stationary while the sift and crank spin smoothly. I will let you all know about any updates.
Thank you for all of your support!
