This weekend I published the final version of assembly instructions before the Sci-Fi contest ends, available from the same link:

I included some practical detail on fasteners and pricing from the cheapest & highest quality 3D printing supplier, as well as two pages dedicated to electronics. The InDesign file got some love in general, such as switching to more common fonts, adding layout guides, and making the layout look a tiny bit more polished.
Finally, I did get to melt some metal. A friend of mine was nice enough to lend some of his time to capture the experience and give it a professional touch:
