EVER WANTED TO PRINT YOUR OWN ROBOT BUT YOUR 3D PRINTER ISN'T BIG ENOUGH!
THIS WILL BE THE SOLUTION!!!
I'm building a complete redesign from the original Thor robotic arm from AngleLM.
It will be a 1:3/4 smaller model made with servomotors, it will be controlable with serial
communication.
2 servo's for base, 2 servo's for shoulder, 1 servo for arm, 1 servo for wrist and
2 servo's for the tool movement.
1 small servo for the gripper and neopixel led ring.
1 Pololu Mini Maestro 12-Channel USB/SERIAL Servo Controller
1 Arduino Mini
I'm working on it, still fighting with the motors :-) I'm trying to make it as simple as possible with wiring, feedback, controlling it. There are some servos on the market today with all these things inside of it. Servos with 360° of freedom, controllable and with feedback of the position connected on each other through serialisation. Keep you informed!
Hi Olaf, there will be a neopixel ring on both robots positioned at the gripper. With a neopixel ring you will have the possibility to give it any color and any sequence of animation on it with one pwm output.
I'm working on the small robot design and it will hardly be modified at the structure. It is very quiet at the moment, working on different parts of both robots. I have ordered some feedback angle magnetic sensors to experiment with. So I'm still alive :-) any progress may be expected the upcoming days.... I still hope to have a full working robot within the next coming weeks. It has to be perfect enough to play with it!
As soon as you post some build files, I'll start printing :)
