All the doors in your house should have a cheerful and sunny disposition. It must be their pleasure to open for you, and their satisfaction to close again with the knowledge of a job well done.

To give joy to all of the doors I'll use an ATtiny85, a small class-D amp, a small speaker and a reed switch + neodymium magnet.

I need to take a look at the consumption of the circuit to use either a coin-cell or a 1S Li-Ion pack.

    I've found some code to make an audio player using an ATtiny85.

    I'm looking for a small D-Class amplifier and I will begin the assembly ASAP since I have a few ATtiny85 and reed switches lying around.

    I'm a huge fan of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and for some time I have this idea floating around since I first watched the moovie. (Yes, I read the book way before the movie, but the movie sparked the idea)

    The SciFi Contest gave me the extra push to assemble something.
