Vintage 5.25'' TEAC floppy FD-55 datasheet, in principle completelly same as 3.5'' FDD. There is nicely described FM and MFM encoding on pages 265 - 268, but timing of pulses differs for HD media.

Nice datasheet for NEC 3.5'' FDD from year 1985. Principles are explained in detail. However, strange formats are used, not HD nor DD.
