Nothing beats the feeling when you go from idea to an actual prototype. After extensive research and ideation, it's now time to weld together worlds first prospecting shovel. 

I have ordered a suitable collapsible handle that I hope can be a part of my design. It should arrive any day now, so I can go out in the (ice-cold) creek water and try it out.
