If stored incorrectly, root crops freeze, rot, or dry out
Many root crops end up cut during harvesting
Root crops break during transportation
Root crops die from diseases during storage

We looked at these 4 problems, talked with other teams, with technology developers from Skoltech and IITP RAS, and decided to focus on problem number 4 – reducing the death of root crops from diseases during storage
