Hello...you can either C & P the source code or sftp the source code to the BBB via a terminal tool. Also, writing it yourself will better acquaint you with programming and logic over time.

type this command to power down the board: sudo shutdown -h now

Attach the wiring and then boot the board. If you bought your MaxBotix without headers, add the headers or wire some wiring to the correct placed through holes and solder everything nicely.

Run the source and move your hand back and forth while the source is running to see the different, correct, or incorrect data being processed.
