Stage 5
04/07/2017 at 08:37 • 0 commentsWe're realising our project might be too ambitious for a car; we tested our project with a small battery, and saw it was enough to move a small CPU fan. However, if we take into accont the 30% efficiency of a solar panel, and when in ideal conditions, it makes for low power. We wouldn't even know if it could power one or two small CPU fans. They take A LOT of energy when you think about it.
We were advised the following solutions:
-Find a solar panel that has a battery which you can connect, so you can use it with more efficiency
-Maybe don't use it in a car; just create a portable solar powered fan, which you could stick inside a stroller for example.

Stage 3

Stage 4
04/07/2017 at 08:32 • 0 commentsSince we realised a small CPU fan takes a lot of energy, we needed a big solar panel. We ordered a big solar panel and looked up the amps, the voltage etc. We ordered multiple sizes of fans as well to see what wuld be optimal.
