As a part of my 2nd year Embedded Systems Project, I have taken on the role of designing, testing and implementing a PCB for the buggy's line sensor array. This will be the buggy's method of seeing the line. This project involves characterising a variety of line sensors, creating a schematic for the array, prototyping the array and finally creating a PCB for the array to be mounted on the buggy. This requires several iterations; carrying out fault-finding and testing on previous designs and changing their design in order to fully optimise the buggy's performance.
