finally, not quite finished
05/27/2025 at 15:49 • 0 commentsAll was done so we show our final project to have reviews, and the teachers told us that we will have a better grade if the dancor was spinning undirectly connected to the servo. so i cut gears on wooden board like for the box and fix one on the servo and put the another one next to it to make the rotation. we succeded without troubles and we made another design still with origami. I make it more aerial.

the esthetic part
05/27/2025 at 15:38 • 0 commentsNow we have the entire box, we think about the esthetic part, the dancor will be a 3D printed wolf we foun on internet. we will place it on an origami flowers field.
We want to finalize the dancer box before to show it to teachers so we are now on an artistic mode for our project.
Here is some of our decorations.

from idea to reality
05/27/2025 at 15:28 • 0 commentswe juge that the prototype was good so we make on boxes.py a wooden box for a better design.
We enter parameters on the site and cut it on wood with a laser machine that I learn to use the first semester during the ernergy course.
A new questionning arrives : how to manage the opening with the servo ?
we thought about elastic to pull the lid by behind or use cable to wrap aroud the servo but it was a fail.
The last idea we had was the put the servo inside the box and attach on the servo a 90° rod fixed to the top to push and pull to open and close the box. Ignoring why, even if the structure was correct it didn't work. The servo wasn't strong enough to pull the lid so we change for a stronger servo but the problem persists.
With the 90° rod, we decide to not fix it on the lid but tilt it forward for an opening less than 90° so the cover is simply placed on the rod which, when it turns, will make the cover fall and then push it to open it without tipping the cover too far back. That how our mechanism works.

the prototype
05/27/2025 at 15:02 • 0 commentsOur two mechanisms have been finalized so it is time to assembly our futur project to make a prototype before the final desing. We take a cardboard box for our prototype with the spinning servo for the dancor in the middle of the box and the captor on the right side of the box to easily open it.
To facilitate the presentation we choose to use batteries for each arduino and include it inside the box.

the second step
05/27/2025 at 14:37 • 0 commentsNow we had the principal mechanism of our project, we have to think about how to manage the opening of the box, the outside part. The first idea we had was to open it thanks to a key or un button but we realised that it was too ambitious for the two of us. We don't know anything about mechanic and we judge that it would take too much time to try something like that.
We ask some advices to our teacher and he encourages us to use another servo for the rotation of the top. So we go through this idea.
We think a lot of how we can succed on this task and it was more difficult than the first monture. One of our mate of the class uses a sensor to make an automatic trash can so we got inspired thank to him to use a sensor (but he changed his project after that) .After coding and assembly the Arduino thanks to our new skills,

the servo was spinning even if we didn't activte the captor.
we fixe this problem by changing the arduino card which was defaulter.

The beginning
05/27/2025 at 14:14 • 0 commentsThe time to create a project with wervo has come for our international classes.
First of all we have some idea of project like a spring frog, an automaton hand etc.. and we decide to go into a dancer box. We got this idea from the Tinker Bell movie we saw in our childhood where in part of the movie Tinker Bell builds a musical box. We think that we could use the rotation of the servo to make the dancor spinning. We try to assembly the essentials materials to begin this project : Arduino cards.
We decide to work on the inside part of the box by coding the arduino card (green one) with the photosensor. When the box is open and the light comes in, the servo is spinning. Despite our 1st grade courses, we are totally new to arduino and we try to uderstand the mechanism to link cable together and to code the programme.
We succeded whitout trouble for this first step of our project and we were very proud when it worked.
