Description

This is a wristwatch that displays time in binary using a single 7-segment display. Each segment represents a binary multiplier: segment B is 1, C is 2, D is 4, and so on. This minimalistic design reduces the need for multiple digits or full character rendering—just a few cleverly lit segments tell you everything. The PCB is fully custom, and I’ve stripped the design down to the essentials, using a microcontroller, several buttons, and a compact LCD to keep the form factor slim and wearable. The watch is strapped with simple wires for an ultra-light look :).

Think of it as a cyberpunk take on timekeeping, or a nerdy challenge to anyone who tries to read your watch at a glance!

Why waste precious segments when binary can do more with less? After all, why use 6 digits when you can get by with just 3 and a bit of brainpower?
