Building an electric ultralight airplane using modern tools and technic (CNC and composite mold making).
The main idea behind this project is that since the beginning of amateur light aircraft construction we made huge technical progress on CAD software, 3D printing and CNC hardware. Composite mould that where extremely expensive and a builder wet dream are now accessible. With those technology, I believe we can build lighter airplane way faster.
The other goal is to build electric, the target is to be able to fly between 1~2 hour for a tenth of the price of conventional plane.
Still not entirely sure which airplane I will electrify first.
I have the plan of :
- MC30 Luciole
- Quickie Q1
- Gaz'aile 2
- LongEz
Currently, I'm focusing on completing two MC30 for friend and then rework the design to optimise for electric.
I'd also like to prototype on manual retractable landing gear.
Those planes will be certified under the French ULM classe 3
