Description

Cell430 (GitHub URL: https://github.com/attacker145/IoT-dev) is an open-source LTE modem plug-in board built around a TI MSP430F5529, designed for low-power IoT, remote monitoring, and industrial embedded systems that require reliable cellular connectivity.
The board features a plug-in LTE modem interface designed for Airgain LTE modules, giving the MSP430 direct control over modem power sequencing, reset, and communication. This allows the board to operate either as a standalone LTE node or as a cellular interface for an external host processor.
The project is currently under active development, with hardware bring-up and initial modem integration in progress. Schematics, PCB layout, and firmware are being published on GitHub as the design evolves, to deliver a practical, engineer-focused LTE building block rather than a one-off prototype.

  • Buck Controller Recommendation: Is TPS5430DDA Suitable for 9–24 Vin → 9 Vout?

    Roman • 2 days ago • 0 comments

I am currently working on the power stage section of the project. I need to select a step-down (buck) controller IC that can efficiently convert an input voltage range of 9–24 V down to approximately 9 V at the output. I am considering TPS5430DDA.
