1 × Seeed Studios XIAO ESP32 C6 U1 - Low-power RISC-V SoC that provides MCU and WiFi connectivity, built in antenna and USB-C Lipo charging. Cheap & small.
1 × IR LED (850nm to 950nm) IR_LED - The Signet uses an NTD352818 (950nm) because it is used to illuminate scenes for security cameras.
1 × WS2812b RGB LED RGB_LED - Because F Big Brother, that's why.
1 × 2N3904 NPN Transistor Q1 - This is to drive the IR LED as the GPIO pin of the XIAO is not suitable to supply the required current. a 2N2222 or MOSFet would have actually be a better option.
1 × Toggle Switch SW1 - The Signet uses a CANAL MR5-110-F5-BB-DP - Rocker Switch, measuring 8.5X14mm. This fits the hole in the 3D printable case.
1 × 47k Ohm Resistor R1 - Pull-up Resistor for SW1 "deep sleep"
1 × 10 Ohm Resistor R2 - Current limiter for IR_LED.
1 × 270 Ohm Resistor R3 - Base Resistor for Q1
1 × 100k Ohm Resistor R4 - Pull-down Resistor fpr Q1
1 × 503035 LiPo Battery ***MUST HAVE CHARGE PROTECTION*** While the XIAO ESP32 C6 has a LiPo charging capability, it DOES NOT include battery protection circuitry. IF you choose to power your Signet from a LiPo, you MUST use a Lipo that has a built in protection circuit. You can always skip the LiPo and power your Signet using a power bank and a USB-C cable if you're uncomfortable around LiPo cells.
1 × Case The files to 3D print a snap-fit case for The Signet as designed, is available in the GitHub repo.
1 × Magenets (optional) Confiure your Signet in DISCREET mode, then slap it onto something within sight of your favofite surveillence camera to imbed your message as passers by are unaware!
1 × Signet PCB Gerber and BOM files are in the repository to make your own or have made. Or, MacGyver something up! Realistically, this is all very basic hardware.
