What is it?
This is a fluid simulation pendant: a small wearable LED device that creates a smooth, gravity-reactive fluid animation.
Inside the pendant is an LED matrix that behaves like a tiny bottle of glowing liquid. When you tilt, rotate, or shake it, the “liquid” flows naturally across the display, creating a soft and mesmerizing motion effect.
The pendant features a CNC-machined aluminum shell, giving it a solid, clean, and durable feel. It also includes a USB Type-C charging port, so charging is simple and convenient.
Please note: USB Type-C cable is not included, but any common Type-C cable should work.
Why did you make it?
About a year ago, I saw the fluid simulation pendant project in a YouTube video and immediately fell in love with the effect. It looked beautiful, playful, and almost magical — like carrying a tiny digital ocean with you. So I spent time recreating a similar device, redesigning it into a compact pendant with an aluminum enclosure and rechargeable battery.
The original inspiration came from this video:
During development, I also referred to these open-source projects: https://github.com/PinkiePie1/CH32V203Dev/tree/master/Apps/fluid_vb https://oshwhub.com/hei_mao35/bottle_of_ocean Many thanks to the creators of these projects for sharing their work.
How to use
Using the pendant is simple:
Wake up: Shake the pendant firmly. Turn off: Place the pendant upside down. Charge: Plug in a USB Type-C cable. Auto sleep: If the pendant is left still for a long time, it will automatically enter sleep mode. Standby time: In sleep mode, the battery can last up to half a year.
