This is my S.D. Systems Z80 Starter Kit and Applied Microsystems EM-180 Diagnostic Emulator. I'm restoring it to working order.

The S.D. Systems Z80 Starter Kit and Applied Microsystems EM180 Diganostic Emulator are both from the Trenton Computer Festival at Mercer County College, NJ (1992). I ended up getting the Z80 Start Kit for $20 and the EM180 for $10. I had been fortunate enough to worked with the EM189 (6809) version back in the 80's. 

I'll get better pictures later. The Z80 Starter Kit was used at Mercer to teach hardware and assembly language. The unit I have is one of their kits carefully assembled by the MCC staff. Under the main board is a wire wrapped static RAM board. If you've ever done wire wrap you can appreciate the amount of work and this one is pretty.

    I've moved the Z80 Starter Kit to the work bench. I hope to start up the system this week. It had been sitting on my desk at former place of employment. Only a few people (engineers) knew what it is. I've setup a Github page for the project and I'll post more stuff there. Additionally I'll put it onto my Vintage pages on ushomeautomation.com this week.

    As you can see this is a pretty nice setup. I'm not sure what the MTS refers to. Once I'm sure I can start this up with no smoke I'll make a little video of it in full operation. From Compiling C code using Z88DK, dowloading the compiled code to the EM180 and actually running and debugging.

    I intend to have C code and assembly code and the files will be on Github.
