It is way overtime for an update. We have been working on it for months and have "wasted" tons of plastic. We are now quickly conversion on an updated working prototype. The video has some of the specifics of the updates. More to come after the holiday break.

The reduction was removed for symmetry/consistency reasons. It also opens up more build area if the arm is left with belts running very close to it. It is also easier to tension now.

Yeah, this looks like what I'd expect. But it looks like the arm in the video has a small pulley attached to the shoulder pulley. Guess that's just a spacer to adjust for the height of the lower arm.

That is exactly right. We tried to condense down to remove the spacer but the design just won't have it. Looking at it...I might have him add 10mm to the arm there instead for some bonus rigidity. That should help compact the stepper assembly by 10mm. This should be pretty close to a printer than can fit in a shoe box.

I don't quite get the purpose of the top compound pulley. Shouldn't that be one pulley more or one pulley less? Another brain fart?
I am a bit disappointed that the reductions between the axis of the first arm are gone. I liked the idea - although I understand that is is moving mass and there is not much space. Especially if you want a rigid connection between the upper and lower arm.
