Today was the last day we had to prepare for the Maker Faire in San Mateo, California.
We do not yet have our 3D printed jaw sets!! So, Alex reduced a stick of polyethylene into an acceptable ball-holding shape.
"Unfortunately our balls are a bit large to comfortably hold in the vise." ~Alex
But, this new jaw set will show off our concept of holding unique objects with customized soft jaws.

After doing this and seeing the massive pile of chips on my machine, (reduced stock from 1.75 diameter HDPE rod) I understand the philosophy of additive manufacture. Note that we have special interpose plates for securing soft jaws now and when flipped right this marble fits just fine... not up against the slides. This is a very... big... marble. A 50mm "toe breaker!" I got from ebay seller bathman-cooper. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOE-BREAKER-50mm-2-034-GRASSHOPPER-Green-Black-Marbles-glass-ball-HUGE-Swirl-/191963255605
