11Step 11
solder about 20cm of cable to the 4" speaker's positive and negative terminal and let it out by the backside
-
12Step 12
solder the 2 wires from the woofesr to the terminal's poles
-
13Step 13
apply sealing tape to the backside on the edges and screw it on the front part.
-
14Step 14
measure the resistance of the whole speaker with a multimeter, it should be over 6OHM, if not: open the speaker and check for soldering failures, if none are there, a speaker might be broken. if all is ok, proceed to the next step
-
15Step 15
put the speakers on an amplifier of +-30watts RMS / channel max (for example, i use a Scythe Kama bay AMP 2000 rated at 2x 10watts RMS)
-
16Step 16
if you have too much mid, or high, or want to expiriment, you can start by adjusting the crossover, a good starting point for a new speaker hobby. :)
else, enjoy your homemade speakers :D
