Easy To Build DIY Reflow Oven

The oven worked perfectly!

Just received the boom mat, handled with gloves because it has fiberglass, waiting on the gold tape.

Just recieved the Toast-R-Reflow Control Backpack 2 v0.1.1 by Geppetto Electronics here, It looks promising. Also we have a sexy Black n Decker TO1313 oven in the background

I chose the Black Decker TO1313SBD because of it Even Toast Technology. as well as a pcb oven tray.

Getting some insulation supplies

Im going for the Toast-R-Reflow controller + Power kit.

After a hard look at the screen i came up with these choices

The ratings dont look so good for T962, looks like modifications will be needed.

• Infrared is absorbed at different rates, so expect darker components to heat up much quicker than lighter ones.
• The oven does not conform to the J-STD-020 reflow standard. Specifically, it fails to meet requirement 3.2.2: "It is required that this equipment use IR to heat only the air and not directly impinge upon the SMD Packages/ devices under test."
• All the heat comes from the top. Imagine trying to reflow a microcontroller - the black microcontroller will absorb a lot of the infrared heat while shading the PCB underneath it. This creates a huge temperature differential!

DIY reflow component kit called ControlLeo2, looks like it uses a black n decker oven, doesn't look too bad at all

Thankfully Google reminded me via ads on youtube to get a Reflow Oven. So far I see some Sky High Prices. The sub 200$ seems decent, ill have to check the reviews.
