No it is working on battery because the 2 ways that motherboard can be powered are bridged! I will upload a picture to understand it... (you can tell me your email to send you pictures)
Both motherboard and LCD controller board need 12volt power to operate. The motherboard has two ways to power it, one from an external 12v power supply (like a common laptop pc), and second from an internal power supply (like a common desktop pc). I used a 12v external power supply to power the motherboard and with a pair of wire I connect the LCD controller to the other connector of powering the motherboard, because the 2 ways are bridged. And in the end I installed a 12v li-ion battery to just power the motherboard... Unfortunately the power consumption in hi enough and I need to buy a bigger battery ( I used a 6400mAh).
I hope you can understand what I have write because my english are not to good... please understand!
Hey, I saw you've used a controller to power and control the LCD. How will this work on a battery, as you need to power the laptop and the controller? I'd love to hear from you!
