While milling with no cooling or air cooling has something to it (like: it's easy), I found that milling certain materials (like HPL, carbon compounds, stone, glass) are way better to be milled in a vat with water. This vat was super cheap, dead simple to make, and now provides effective cooling on the milling tool plus catches dust and chips. A cut-to-size piece of a blue trash bag effectively protects the spindle and equipment from water splashes. Watch it in action: http://youtu.be/mAm37D_yeto
