So I already had the ili9341 - pi interface board all sorted, and i thought "hey i could make this round, it would look like a bauble!"

Taking full advantage of the fast and cheap PCB manufacturing from the east, i thought it was worth a punt!!

The Pi is surface mounted to make it as skinny as possible, and there is 2 Piezo transducers to give some sound (although you have to be really close to hear it)

It currently just pipes a video file (currently the christmas classic 'Elf') to the tft screen via Mplayer

No major plans for it, just something fun for the holiday season :)

Thanks, was a basic circle, but it's pretty effective. I like your bauble idea, might need to go shopping...

Nice!s That circuit board came out looking great.

I wonder if you can find the right diameter clear globe in two halves to house this as a bulb ornament.
