Only you can stop this from happening again:

A real PCB would make this a real device I would seriously follow up on. I am far from a PCB design. As of now, I would like it to have at least a non-floating Teensy socket, a dedicated USB switching circuit.

Don't they fit in regular IC sockets (the heftier ones)? I might have punched an arduino pro mini into a socket. I'm definitely almost sure about that. "definitely almost" sounds like a rom-com.

Standard 0.10" spacing on the Teensy, but really tight in a
breadboard (thought I was going to break it the fist time out.) Right
now, a whole socket, or something solid to put it on would be a great
improvement. The total cost for version 1.0 is at $0 so far. You know I
appreciate any suggestions if you can help :)

Your shopping skills are great! I have been looking for an alternative to the Belkin F1U200V USB switch, and could not find anything with 4 buttons for switching, has 4 USB type B female (or micro) connectors, and <$30. I have been looking for a long time and only found expensive (>$100) KVM devices. I know your busy now, but could you help out with a search when you have time? :)

I could have purchased a socket locally for about $1, but I would have deadbugged that also. The real lesson here is I should get some pref board.

There is page called http://www.usbswitch.com/ that may have a no name switch of interest? It's a one button system, but you could replace the leds with optocopplers and switch the button until you get the preferred computer selected.
