Due to a critical mistake in v3.4a [that @Craig Hissett had to find out about the hard way ;) ] I, of course, deemed it necessary to do a correction but it was also kind of clear that a redesign might be in order. Here are some changes:
- Since everybody who built this keyboard wanted to use an external MCU (be it a Pro Trinket or Pro Micro) I decided to drop the footprints for the components that would otherwise make up the Pro Trinket circuit.
- Dropped optional diode footprints (introduced in v3.4a) to make assembly less confusing
- Rerouted whole board with Pro Trinket and Pro Micro compatible socket. More on this in the previous log. This way the USB ports of both boards also face away from the mode button.

cool to see that you're still perfecting it! I spend too much for my buttons to order the boards though ;)

Thanks :)
I have to admit, thinking of "someone else [who likes to jump the gun and order untested boards]" your name immediately came to mind :P

I might think it over with some cherry caps (or any other cheapo version) for getting a more-keyboard feeling... but I'd have to change the layout myself ;) I'm happy with Version 1 (?) For now :)

I think I get my gung ho approach to Hackaday from following @davedarko :-)

It's v3.1 that you have. Yeah, @andrei.harasemiuc asked about cherry switches , too, and I like the idea but it was probably a good idea to do this 'cleaned up' version first.
Also, I have to leave some features for future updates ;)

Hurrah! A wonderful update buddy; if my purchasing of the old design somehow resulted in this single, unified board then it was worth it.
Cant wait to get a few of these - I may wait until someone else orders the first though :-P

Haha, yes, very understandable ;)

Ha ha! I jest, my good man. I am building a project which features two of these boards so I will be getting those when I can.
Witj the current iterations I have I may experiment with the i2c pins while I am making my adjustments. I shall let you know of my findings :)
