Great success in managing ESP8266,the future workhorse of IOT. All over the world they use Arduino as a support to this making it bit expensive as a commercial gadget.We but managed the interface directly with the old horse 8051 to control WiFi based 8 remote load control.First tried on Proteus successfully and then on the real hardware.Learnt a lot. Next target is to eliminate the microcontroller 8051 and get the work done by ESP stand alone, controlling at least 2 electrical loads from the 2 GPIOs directly by triacs fed through opto-isolators, over WiFi by changing the firm ware.3.3 volt supply need would be met through a small SMPS. The total cost would be less than $10. Therefore the unit would be small enough to be accommodated inside any switch board of a house wiring to achieve remote control features from the cell phone
