The photos for one of my projects take a very long time to load, or don’t load at all. They aren’t super large. Can you please fix this or tell me how to fix it?
I am unable to upload images. I am getting this:Sorry, image size should be less than 5MB and we only accept JPG/PNG/TIF formats.
My images are all JPG and are few KBs only
confirmed -- can't upload jpg < 100k. but error is less verbose "Unknown Error"
This is bad, hope nobody was vibe coding and killed the back end. Also I could not view a hackaday blog without being logged in
The autocomplete suggestion feature for referring to projects with #Title of project syntax in comments doesn't work these days. The only way I could insert a # link was to paste a hyperlink, and then select and edit the text and URL for correctness.
Is "Page" saving broken? Or a new page length limit in place? I'm working on a page and now I can't save it anymore. This appears to be the max length page that fails to save with an "internal server error" if I try to extend it: https://hackaday.io/page/400161-max-length-page.
Since yesterday. Looking forward to a fix, or bummed if this is permanent.
edit: next day -- same with project details and logs. Page editor is broken/limited generally?
Anyone else?
I think there is a limit but I've only read about people hitting it, not experienced it myself.
Yes, I've also read at least one report of hitting a limit.
This week it appears that the limit has been sharply reduced, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
I don't know whether to expect a fix, adapt, or complain.
Almost every time over the past year or so when I try to create a new project or update an existing one I have trouble uploading images. Today is no exception. I get a message when I try to upload images that the file is too big or not the right format. I can assure you that neither is true. I have even tried loading images that I successfully uploaded in the past. This is very frustrating.
It’s been two days and I still cannot load any images into my project!!!
I was able to upload images a moment ago as part of a log entry. But I find that I can't add an image to the gallery; there is no add link. Or maybe I've maxed out the allocation of 6 or something?
Day 3. I still can't load any images at all, background, gallery, or in the details or logs. This is very frustrating.
I love this site. I visit it daily. I am a fairly prolific contributor. I have learned so much, and truly value the feedback that I have gotten over the years. But between this image issue and the discontinuation of messages, and the stale content on the home page I can't help but feel that Hackaday is on the decline. Too bad.
Spammers seem to have hacked abandoned accounts to post spam. Might be an idea to require all accounts to revalidate and to adopt 2FA for logging in.
People You May Like is also getting stale. I see the same people over and over again. Some I think haven't logged in for years.
Featured Projects has not changed again for a couple of months now. It used to get updated much more frequently. You have a great opportunity to highlight the hard work of your contributors and it’s being wasted because this “feature” is not being curated properly. Except for two very lucky individuals it’s a waste of your space on you home page.
The project search bar returns zero results for me no matter what I search. I had this same results on two different laptops starting a couple of weeks ago
Discord link is broken! How do I join?
The discord link on the site is going to https://discord.com/channels/879434765390975007
This is a channel link, not an invite to join the server. That means people can't use it to join the server. Here is the actual invite link:

Uploading pics for projects seems to be broken. Is anyone else having this problem?
What happened to "my messages"? I see, that I have 2 new messages, but by clicking on "my messages", I get redirected to discord, where I have no channel or server or whatsoever linked to hackady.io.
See https://hackaday.io/project/206203-whats-going-on-with-hackaday-and-discord
Thanks for the hint . So next thing, I'll need, is an elegant -preferable automated- way to backup my hackaday.io projects locally before that too gets caught behind a corporate wall...
Global feed seems to sometimes end after a page or two, and seems to be triggered by certain projects. Which means you may have a JS vulnerability on your site.
Creator status approved, but publishing any new project returns 403.

Creator status was approved today.
I can open and fill the New Project form, but clicking Publish immediately returns the 403 “Something Went Wrong” page.
Could you please check whether my account has the correct project-publishing permission?
I don't understand why "Sign up with X" is one of the only two social login options offered on this site. Everybody with an ounce of self respect already left that platform. There's only neo nazis left there now.
HaD should stop announcing new profile pages on the global feed. It's being used by spammers to post nonsensical AI slop.
I created a new project. I cannot find anyway to add external links like before (e.g. github). Is this gone? Moved?
Well Doh' Ken! It's been so long since I created a project that I passed right by that section....
Dear Sir,.
Is the search function of the project unavailable? Thank you!
J.K
Looks like search isn't working. I'll ping the Dev folks about this!
Yeah, the search function doesn't work. I had to resort to web search. And I got the lost spaceman the first time I tried to post this so the site still throttles requests sometimes.

Hiya, unknown error uploading images into hackaday blogs - I want to update! Not a whole lot of non-ai internet left to put blogs on like this. (some organic traffic would be nice though)
