Currently co authors only show up under Team in the left column. Could probably do something similar to how lists show other curators at the top, for example https://hackaday.io/list/25935-conference-badges
Is that what you are describing?
I tried to find the previous discussion on well hidden project creation date but failed but this can be a separate issue anyway.
The rendering of the date, e.g. "This project was created on 10/11/2019 and last updated 9 days ago", is ambiguous. It means October 11, but some people could read it as November 10. It is the former because HaD uses US dates. Implement viewer locale date rendering, or at least display an unambiguous form like 11 Oct 2019
+1 for "UK style" (as I call it) dates, eg today being 25 Dec 2019. I'm an American in America and I write all my dates like that (unless I screw up) because it avoids confusion in a simple and brilliant manner.
I have a project that I would like to add files to https://hackaday.io/project/168952-raspberry-pi-3-iot-32x32-led-matrix but when I choose to edit the project I dont have any ability to upload files (or many other things that could make this a complete project) even though the is 1G of storage alloted for the project. What am I missing?
Before clicking edit, scroll down the page and look for the large 'Add files' gold button. That will take you to an uploader page. PM if you have other questions.
Yes! A little counter-intuitive, I would have guessed all of that would be part of editing a project but with your guidance, I am adding files and instructions! Thank you!
Hi, when a profile page is updated, feed readers see "Somehacker updated the page Blablabla on their profile", whereas the profile owner sees "You updated the page Blablabla on their profile".
Seeing as the content generator can tell the difference between the owner and the rest of the world, should that last sentence be made more grammatical with another conditional: "You updated the page Blablabla on *your* profile"?
Greetings and good morning. When I click on the Tindie Cybersale advertisement on the My Feed page I am getting 404 error. The Link is pointing to https://hackaday.io/tindie.com/sale . It is different when I am on the Global Feed. I don't see a way to include a screenshot, so I'll leave it at that.
Now the sale advert on the global feed is sharing the same 404 link. :-/
Hi! Yesterday I created small hackaday.io project ( https://hackaday.io/project/168551 ) from my old project published in russian here http://stanson.ch/index.php?page=proj&proj=EtherPIC (use translate.google.com, if in doubt) long time ago. I thought that this simple hack allowing to add Ethernet connectivity to nearly any small modern MCU without any additional controllers like ENC28J60 will be interesting for hackaday audience. However, that project was deleted after a day, or so without any reason and notification. What's wrong? Not a hack? Some illegal content? Too easy? Please be more specific when deleting projects.
Hmmm. Project is back, thank you, but I still have no clue what I did wrong and what is going on.
It may have been auto moderated and then corrected. No content will be deleted unless it is confirmed spam.
Hello, first of all I would like to say that I really like this platform. However I am currently having some problems with the alignment of images in project logs. When I set an image to align right and save the project log it goes back to the center, if I try to edit it again it is set back to none. Is this a known issue? Thanks, Bram
I think that it would be interesting to have a light theme on here... or at least the option to use one.
Inline images in all my pages aren't visible although looking at the HTML the IMG tags are still there. An example:
Problems with the content server?
Seems to be ok again. Maybe the content server was unreachable from the shopping centre WiFi I was using.
The non-highlit text is VERY hard to read due to low contrast. Is there a way to fix that in our profile?
Example: the text which follows your name starting with 'wrote'
Yes. Is there a way to change that color or the color scheme or? I didn't find one.
Hi, I've got a project with some build instructions, and I don't seem to get an email notification when someone leaves a comment on the build instructions. I don't know whether that's a bug or not, but it would be useful because otherwise I end up accidentally ignoring questions about the build. Thanks! The project is https://hackaday.io/project/164521-drumkid-aleatoric-drum-machine EDIT: Actually it's not just comments on the build instructions - I think I'm missing notifications for comments more generally, even on the project as a whole.
Will check on this and PM you with questions, thanks
If anyone else missed a verify email when signing up please post here.
I once started Hackaday.io via the Github login method, but as Hackaday grows more and more important for me, I wish to split it up and create a separate e-mail-login for Hackaday with individual password. I just cannot find a function to do so !
There's no option for remediation if have a log in error. I expected an email address I could contact or a notification would display an error or something, but I just get redirected to the vanilla log in screen.
I can't log in using my github which shares this accounts email address. I should be using hackaday.io/lirothen right now. I can spam the log in button and all that happens is eventually a redirect to github which prompts that I re-authorize SupplyFrame OAuth due to excessive log in attempts -_-
I signed up today, however I was not able to put a dot into my username, I wanted to be known as angel.o.sphere :D Got the error message: only alphanumeric chars allowed (but the description of the field username says: dots are allowed).
how about capturing card when the dealer flips the card over. Can rainman 2.0 be put on new cell phone?

Would be awesome to be able to embed PeerTube videos. They're open, they're federated (ie, has an API), and they're not subject to the whims of some algorithm no one understands. Presently I'm trying to move my videos to Diode.zone but need to keep YT just to embed here.
Is this change valid for all control servos? I own a CYS8218 servant. Try different changes but the result is always disappointing. You propose to make these connections. I'll try tomorrow. For the moment, thanks.
Just checking, was this reply supposed to be on another project?

Hi, my friend and I just posted our project on hackaday.io . We noticed that only one of us was listed as an author on the main page. We would love if it could show us as being joint authors since we did it together. Also, we like to share author editing privileges. Thanks!
