I'm envisioning the OLED being used to show signal strength of the selected WiFi network when not being used for menu options. I haven't quite settled on the proper OLED to use, one half the size may be capable of displaying the information I need. I also haven't decided the best model of USB WiFi dongle to use yet, I'm still doing my research. I'm also thinking about using the new A+ model Pi, since it would use less power and fit in the smaller space. But that conflicts with my goal of using it to "output" Internet somehow, as I would probably have to use the Ethernet port that isn't included standard on the A model. I have intentionally omitted a GPS module for now, but I may include it once I get the first prototype working.
