The project uses 2 high torque servos to counteract rotation about the X and Y axis (left/right and forward/back respectively). These are controled by an accelerometer via an Arduino Uno. As of yet only 2 axes are accounted for, I am playing with ideas to counter sudden axial movements rather then just rotation.
Also a way to dampen a wobbling glass would be awesome!

Jeremy: the project is only a few days old and I have never built a web site before. So I guess the answer is...Slowly. However, there is a ton of material on asp.net mvc so I'm just studying up on how to go about it.
stormeporm: the reason behind servos is purely because I had some in my bench. I'm quite new to this kind of stuff so your advise about brushless motors will definitely be taken on board as the project progresses.
