SDR navigation rtl-sdr VOR

This project was created on 02/12/2015 and last updated 12 years ago.

Description

This project is a work in progress. To date, I've collected some samples on the ground by driving to the local airport. I've created a GNURadio companion flow graph that demodulates the signal and performs the angle (or "radial") of the vehicle from the station. Later, I took a charter flight and collected data from the air. Due to some poor planning, I didn't get the quality of data I was hoping for, but there are still some promising results.

Components

  • 1 × SDR Receiver Any type that is supported by GNURadio
  • 1 × Computer Any type that supports GNURadio
