The glove controller will hopefully be able to make gesture based communication with a computer possible and easy through the almighty micro controller that is the Arduino. Very experimental prototype for a local maker faire done by an incredibly inexperienced hacker so get ready for roughness and slow going.

Decided to start documenting this project in an attempt to get it more done by the time presentation rolls around. I've got about a month to get some sort of glove in working order and between 6 and 12 hours a week to spare. For the prototype itself I'll be using an Arduino Uno SMD and a GY-521 to take and translate movement from the lower arm/hand into hopefully an easily definable set of gestures that can be mapped into buttons or actions on the PC with either Processing or Python. Right now my only progress is having the GY-521 in a working state with some rough visualization thanks to data visualization from here. Waiting a little bit on some input from a friend before I continue as he's agreed to work with me and almost certainly can do it better.
