Why?

Ok, so there are a gazillion-and-a-half wheeled robots available for the Raspberry Pi.  But, as you take a closer look, they either are a pain to to assemble, lack a sensible power source, are expensive for a Maker's budget, or all of the above!

Pressed by a request to teach a Robotic Course at different venues (including our Makerspace, Disney Interactive, Pasadena Community College, Western Digital, etc.), we decided to take the matter into our own hands...
