Flash your ESP8266 with NodeMCU, you can read this tutorial on how to flash NodeMCU on your ESP8266

Download this code and upload it to your ESP8266 as "init.lua"

Follow these schematics below:

Type your ESP8266's IP address in your browser to access your ESP8266 web server. (You can watch the video demonstration below)

I built this example on a Witty Wifi Cloud dev boards and changed the code to match the on board RGB LED. Works great. Thanks for your example, it was great!
