All the mechanism and the gears between the DC motors and the legs are made out of acrylic that i cut with my home made CNC router. The gears and the legs turn on M5 screws with a bit of grease. I was planning to add lights on the legs, on the body and also an encoder to control the lights according to the position of the legs but i got lazy and i did not complete this part. The mouth is driven by two geared stepper motors, one was enough but I used two. I used 433 Mhz Rc/Tx modules controlled by a PIC micro controller for the transmission of the signal with a communication protocol derived from IR TV remote. The two DC motors that move the legs are controlled proportionally by means of a joystick.
I would love the dxf.
