Description

Most everything in the home entertainment system was already networked and controlled. The only remaining piece was the TV. Thanks to Sharp for including the RS-232 port *and* a decent reference in the manual. And, thanks to Freescale and mbed.org for enabling a speedy bring-up.

Details

Using a MAX3232 Level Shifter attached to the RS232 port of the Sharp AQUOS TV, the Freescale FRDM-K64F board can be used as a mini-web server to accept HTTP request and translate them into serial commands for the TV.
