Maker Faire 2016 Drone Combat Results
05/23/2016 at 18:56 • 0 commentsI participated in demos and combat Friday and Sunday at Maker Faire. I destroyed the 32 propellers I brought and about another 20 provided. My craft did not rank but I had a lot of fun in the arena with the other pilots.
My drone combat entry. The flight controller suspension would get dislodged by the battery shifting on impact.
One of the weaponized combat drones.
Combat pilots charging batteries and preparing.

Rebuild for Drone Sports World 2016
04/04/2016 at 18:26 • 0 commentsI killed the old KK board and replaced it with a LUX flight controller featuring the STM32F303RCT6 processor.
Everything is direct soldered so its a bit lighter than the previous build.
I started to tune the PIDs over the weekend. It feels pretty good after a couple packs.

New Year - New Build
01/02/2016 at 19:15 • 0 commentsI've stripped this multicopter to use the components for a Y6 frame capable of carrying a small gimbal and camera.
I'll probably start a new project for that frame when the two additional motors arrive.
