I'm very fascinated with the world that exists between art and engineering. I love things that are both functional and look really good. One recent example is my linear clock. It looks awesome, is the signage for out company hanging outside our offices, and also acts like a pomodoro timer! Very fun project!!
For those of you who haven't heard of them, pomodoro sessions are timed sessions where a person works very focused and diligently for 25 minutes and then takes a 5 minute break. This cycle is repeated throughout the day. My crew and I generally do 4 hours a day of pomodoro sessions that are specifically for getting work done. Then the remaining 4 hours are general time. The pomodoro timer is designed to keep everyone in sync. Purple or blue are the "in session" colors and the green is "ok to disturb" color.
