This project began with an idea for taking a leap on the development of Haiku, an open-source operating system that specifically targets personal computing. Inspired by BeOS, Haiku is fast, simple to use, easy to learn and yet very powerful. We need a hardware system that take advantage from contemporary technologies and meets the requirements of a modern desktop system that satisfies common uses at different situations. Within a year it will be the 30th anniversary since the release we have been looking for a system that has 30 times the performance specifications as well in a much smaller scale than before, one third the size

You're going to do the blinkenlights, right? You have to do the blinkenlights and the bazillion ports on the back.

Of Course, there is no BeBox without GeekPort! this will be handled with a 12bit ADC coupled with some GPIOs of the 26 pin JP1 port from Minnowboard Max. I'm just about filling up with content the Details Page from this profile. We must not forget that this is a scale model , so there is not much room for many ports as in the original BeBox.
