Between the datasheet and probing with a continuity indicator pinout is quickly found.
There are a few pins free that could be used for other things. Maybe 27/28 could have a rotary encoder added.

I think pin 23 is actually used to measure the input voltage for a "low battery" notification. My firmware does not have this feature built in.
