Description

When I was a kid I enjoyed putting together a scary scene at the top of my parents driveway complete with lights and sound. This year i decided to put together another scene using many of the old props from when I was a kid. I had a fog machine that had a manual control and required you to stand next to it and press. Very inconvenient when your trying to put on a scary scene. So I modified the controller so that it can be controlled from an Arduino connected to an Android app. I also have added motion detection so that it can control itself whenever someone walks up the driveway but decided to use the app primarily.

Components

1 × Bluetooth Module I used a HC-07 module
1 × Relay Shield Seeedstudio relay shield v.2
1 × RF Receiver Module Cheap RF module
1 × Arduino Uno

Step 1

First you need to identify the controller lines and solder 2 wires from the switch

Step 2

I drilled a hole through the top of the controller and sent the 2 lines out from the opening

Step 3

When all is done it should look somehting like this. The fog machine requires a little bit to warm up and thats why they have a momentary switch.
