I am two months into this project. I have completed most of the physical repairs to the car. I am well on my way with funding from grants and benefactors. I am working on the drivetrain and deciding which batteries to use right now. The future holds many exciting challenges.
1) Hacking the Smart Car parts.
2) Building a safe and efficient battery pack at 350 volts.
3) Adapting the Smart Car drivetrain to the Sonett axels or hubs.
4) Brake job and fixing/replacing all the old worn out bearings/bushing/shocks etc...
