I submitting this project to HID challenge, display information in old fashion style ;)
Old look but based on newest technology, you can wireless transmit information to this display from host computer.
First prototype with bad quality pink leds, now I replaced all to white.
2-3 small bugs but test is OK
just go to make new software, fix bugs and create nice enclosure

From time to time I would connect it on my laptop to set the time through USB-serial by typing
$ echo "123456" > /dev/ttyusb1
:-D
That is very creative! I didn't know that LEDs come in that shape! Very nice!
