DC Input, USB Fast Charger

Description

The Pirl Charger is a high capacity USB charger for consumer devices.

Current USB chargers restrict you to wall outlets and do not provide any information on how much power devices are drawing.

We solve these problems by with a DC input charger and a wattmeter LED display. Each port fast charges to 2.7A, and it is a robust build of aluminum plates, which makes it durable to be used at home, in a car, with lead acid batteries and battery packs.

Details

2.7A per port
Each port delivers a maximum current of 2.7A, and doesn't throttle when all ports are in use, so you can plug in 4 iPads at max speed. It detects and optimizes charging speed by adapting to your device's particular charging scheme.

Protections

Each USB port is electrically independent and contains robust circuitry with overheating, static discharge, short circuit, and reverse polarity protections. This means it protects itself and your devices from harm.

Wide input range

It takes DC input ranging from 7V to 17V, and can be used anywhere with wall outlets, car power ports, lead-acid batteries, DC-output solar panels, and lithium-ion battery packs (2S, 3S, and 4S).

Wattmeter

It has an integrated wattmeter so you don't need a multimeter to know how much power you are drawing devices.

Case

Mechanically, it is built with anodized aluminum top and bottom plates, and the middle layers are made of FR4.

It's laser cut, sand blasted, anodized and silkscreened. We sourced from multiple suppliers in the US and China.
