I actually used a 6v3 zener, not sure why i put 5.1v in schematic, measures 5.6v.
I know there are CDC scientists that would be thrilled to have one of these!
Once all the "bugs" are worked out, I will submit schematics, diagrams and code here so they can build their own. i am not sure the university will patent the feeder head design as it is not totally original, as i borrowed some aspects from an ancient broken Hemotek blood feeder, and the micro controller is open source, but if they do patent it and manufacture it, i will certainly post a link where is can be found.

With this schematic the MCU supply is 4.5V, if you want 5V the zener must be 5.6V. That's it.
