Erland Lewindave manganelli asked about connecting the Pixel Qi display to a MT561-B VGA to LVDS board.
Here are some photos of my connection. I believe I got the cable from the Qi with the kit of display & earlier HDMI to LVDS board that I used - I don't know how one would go about making or buying the cable.
Here's the cable inserted into the connector on the back of the display. The connector pulls out straight (parallell to the display) out of the connector.
Here's a picture of the display-end of the connector. The data sheet of the Qi display which you can find online will have the spacing between the pins etc:

Here's the wiring itself. There are four twisted pairs blue/white, 5 red wires, 6 black and two white wires at a quick count:

Quick question on this MT561 board. Any suggestion on where I should bring in power (I am assuming 5V to the board (looks like to connector for power in, I don't mind soldering it, and of course will use something appropriate and regulated.
I also have a more complete package board HDVX9-AS (which has HDMI and other video output options (also this one is 'firmware 'upgreadable', but that has also proven to be difficult so far.
My real question is trying to learn how/why to address interfacing LVDS (from a Ras PI, PCduino etc etc. to 2nd hand monitors (trying to set up to do it for several machines, so I am trying to learn the key modules (for example can separate out the backlight power driving and deal with that separately as needed monitor by monitor when required.
This issue is bouncing around alot (some discussions in some other hackaday users, just wondering if you had some off the top of your head ideas (at least for the first question re- power in to the little MT561-B board
