Automatic fresh air vent

Put this in a sash window, and when your attic fan goes on, the vent will open from negative air pressure allowing cooler outside air into your home. Two temp sensors and a PICAXE control the attic fan appropriately. Saves lots of energy!

Electric lawnmower

Using electric scooter motors and a drive chain makes this mower noisy but effective.

Concentrating solar building (prototype)

A stationary curved roof mirror and non-imaging tracker would provide thermal energy to heat and cool a building. There is very little energy lost to transmission, since the energy is used onsite. Projected 44% efficient.

Skyheater

A solar air heater for commercial building rooftops. Measured 85% efficiency in the dead of winter atop World Clutch building in Knoxville, TN.
