A self-driving robot long before the time of Raspberry Pi. Instead it used a Mini-ITX PC when they were hardly known. Built in to an RC hummer.
I was having a home built on an acreage where power and network were unavailable. Solar/battery power box on a tripod contained a pi and pi cam to take pictures at predetermined intervals (using cron) to create a timelapse of construction.
A Raspberry Pi and pi camera set up to take pictures from my vehicle dashboard while I participated in a neighborhood watch program. OpenALPR used to process images and search CPIC online database and give an audible alarm on positive hit.
A large box (~12 cubic foot) containing lights, heater, water reservoir and pump, temperature, and humidity sensors. Rasbperry Pi controlling each to produce an artificial environment for growing climate-sensitive plants.
